Gov. Charlie Baker, R-Mass., and Gov. Larry Hogan, R-Md., appear at the National Governor Association 2018 winter meeting in February. Despite leading overwhelmingly Democratic states, the two Republicans have positioned themselves well to win reelection on Tuesday.

Even with the Democratic intensity of 2018, Republican governors Larry Hogan of Maryland and Charlie Baker of Massachusetts defied partisanship to position themselves well to win reelection Tuesday.
