Letter: The difference between a million and a trillion

In her letter to the editor on Aug. 4, Mary Burkett argues that, since the United States debt is approaching $30 trillion, we should seriously question remaining in the World Health Association at an assessment of nearly $58 million. Clearly she does not know the ratio of trillion to million. As an analog: The father of a household with an annual income of $500,000 tells his son Jimmy that he should seriously consider spending one dollar on a pen.
