More than 398,000 people have now signed a petition to rename the Edmund Pettus Bridge after late civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis

Edmund Pettus was a Confederate general and leader of the Alabama Ku Klux Klan. The bridge bearing his name was the site of "Bloody Sunday" in 1965.
